LumbriBASE News

[not updated in a L O N G time ...]

12 December 2005 Annotation search now uses GOtcha results.
Protein translations and annotation added for the Haementeria depressa sequences.
30 August 2005

ESTs from two different annelid species added to the database

  • Nepenthes (Nereis) virens (clamworm) and
  • Haementeria depressa (a leech)
08 August 2005 LumbriBASE Update - 17,225 ESTs in 7,629 gene objects. All ESTs for the current project are now in LumbriBASE.

12 January 2005

1108 ESTs from the earthworm Eisenia andrei have been included in LumbriBASE. These were sequenced by Prof Soon Cheol Park, Chung-Ang University, Seoul, South Korea.
14 December 2004

A number of new features have been added to the website. Pages have therefore been modified to accomodate additions, ease navigation and unify the site.
The new features are...

  • More annotations to search;
    • GO (for both C. elegans and L. rubellus)
    • RNAi experiment results (C. elegans only)
  • Peptide Mass Fingerprint search
  • Plate reference and primer searchs for some C. elegans sequences
13 October 2004 Lumbribase Update - 12,889 ESTs in 6,076 gene objects
06 October 2004 Lumbribase Update - 11,218 ESTs in 5,398 gene objects
24 August 2004
Annotation searches can now be restricted to searching blastx results (ie against protein databases). Some clusters hit untranslated sections of nucleotide sequence and this may give a false annotation. To aviod annotations based on blanstn results tick the 'Only search blastx results' box.
