The MSc/Dip in Bioinformatics is one of several taught MSc programmes offered by the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Edinburgh. The course shares a common structure with those in Quantitative Genetics and Genomics, Drug Discovery and Translational Biology and Systems Biology (planned) so that there is a wide range of educational opportunities presented through the elective modules.

The course is centred in the Institute of
Evolutionary Biology (IEB) at the King's Buildings campus of the University of Edinburgh (see map).

Students will be able to mix with other MSc students as well as the PhD student population in the varied cultural and academic environment that is so stimulating on the Kingís Buildings campus, and further afield. Students will have full access to the range of learning resources of the University, including excellent library and computing and generic training facilities.
