The MSc Dissertation (Bioinformatics) Major research project will occupy all of the latter part of the MSc course year. It will be carried out by the student independently in collaboration with their chosen supervisor. A wide range of projects will be available, from researchers based in both the School of Biology and the School of Informatics. Topics will vary from year to year, but will focus on allowing students to employ the skills they have learnt and to learn new skills in a cutting edge research environment.

The Schools of Biology and Informatics have a large faculty of internationally respected scientists, and large communities of active and enthusiastic research workers. See
