SimiWorm gives you the ability to visually compare BLAST similarity relationships of all Wormpep proteins against three user selected databases (see below). In brief : Wormpep release 89 was BLASTed against a range of different databases selected from the tree of life (see below). The top BLAST hit against each database is extracted and stored in a central database. This page is then used to select 3 of these databases. For each wormpep entry, the BLAST score for each database is extracted and used to calculate the relative position of the entry within the SimiTri graphic - for a further explanation click here.
