trace2seq process raw sequencing chromatograph trace files into quality-checked sequences. trace2seq is a PERL script, designed to be run friom the command line. It has nbeen tested on Linux and Mac OSX computers. It is derived from our trace2dbEST EST processing tool. trace2seq makes use of other software (available free under academic licence) that you will need to have installed, namely phred and cross_match.

Brugia malayi
The human-parasitic filarial nematode Brugia malayi.
Filarial nematodes are tissue and gut parasites of a wide range of vertebrates, including humans. This species causes human elephantiasis, affecting over 20 million people. See NEMBASE3 for analyses of ESTs from this parasite and many other nematodes.
