As the nomenclature of ribosomal proteins changes depending on the species, we have taken the human ribosomal protein dataset as a benchmark against which to compare the Brugia sequences. The "reference clone" is ojne chosen by the Blaxter lab for hybridisation studies, either as a cross-hybridisation probe for reducing the redundancy of the EST sequencing effort, or for hybridisation to BAC filters. The human accession numbers against which the comparisons were made, and the name of the C. elegans homologue are also given where available.
