The gut parasite Haemonchus contortus.
Strongylids are gut and tissue parasites of a wide range of vertebrates, including humans. This species is a major parasite of sheep, causing significant economic losses worldwide. See NEMBASE4 for analyses of ESTs from this parasite and many other nematodes.
