The GenePool is the University of Edinburgh's genomics facility. We have core funding from the UK Medical Research Council, and the Natural Environment Research Council, and support from the Scottish Universities' Life Science Alliance and the Darwin Trust. We have Illumina (HiSeq and GaIIx) and Roche 454 (Titanium) next gen instruments, and also AB 3730 Sanger sequencers. We provide collaborative access to our sequencing and bioinformatics capacities.
