Using 959NG genomes

The Blaxter faculty group within the Tree of Life project are in the process of analysing these data to understand the evolution of various aspects of genome evolution, including Nigon elements and programmed DNA elimination. We have also been provided with samples from collaborators who have diverse interests, from the evolution of reproductive mode to mechanisms underlying anhydrobiosis.

We are releasing all genomes openly to make them available for use by the wider community. However, as we and our collaborators are actively working on these datasets, we strongly encourage anyone interested in using them to get in touch with us early to avoid overlap and to maximise the scientific value of these resources.
